今天老師進行了科普很少介紹的地形課
讓小孩和媽媽學到很多單字
1️⃣Canyon
A canyon is a deep,narrow valley with high,steep sides.
2️⃣mountaIn
A mountain is high,steep,rugged land that rises sharply from the surrounding area.
3️⃣Hill
A hill is an area of raised land that is lower and more rounded than a mountain.
4️⃣Plain
A plain is a broad area of open,flat land.
5️⃣Plateau
A plateau is a large area of high ,flat land.
6️⃣Valley
A valley is the land that lies between hills or mountains.
7️⃣volcano
A volcano is a mountain with a cone shape that is formed by lava that erupts from a crack in the Earth's surface.
8️⃣River
The water runs across the land.
9️⃣Lake
The water has land all around it.
老師利用色紙裁剪出火山、峽谷、高山、山谷、平原、海洋、小島的外形
讓孩子能依照圖示
自己講述各種地形形成的原因及特色
另外
老師特別介紹科羅拉多河流經的大峽谷：The Great Canyon
這個世界上最雄偉的大峽谷
從外太空看到地球
就能一眼看出它了
峽谷的形成是因河流不斷向下侵蝕
而峽谷最顯目的條紋狀色澤
證明峽谷是幾經時空改變而留下的歷史痕跡
壯麗的大峽谷不僅登山觀覽健行皆宜
也有許多人在科羅拉多河泛舟
也同樣令人嚮往
